🚧 Road Closure Update: Eureka Street
Quick update! Due to weather delays, Eureka Street (between Anna Russell Way and Station Lane) will now be closed on April 20–21. Detours will be in place, so plan ahead if you’re in the area. If you have any questions, you can reach out to the City at [email protected] or 905-475-4714.
🚧 Upcoming Road Closure: Bayview Ave
Heads up! Bayview Avenue (between Laureleaf Road and Barristers Court) will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, April 21 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM for bridge inspection and maintenance work. Detours will be in place, with signs to help guide traffic around the closure.

🚧 Highway 7 Construction Notice
Just a heads up! Starting this spring, construction will begin on a 2.8 km stretch of Highway 7 (between Hawkridge Ave and Ninth Line) as part of a watermain rehabilitation project. The work is being led by York Region, and you can expect ongoing construction activity in the area.

🚌 YRT Service Changes Coming

Markham’s annual compost giveaway is happening this May! Registration opens on April 22 (Earth Day), and residents can sign up to receive 2 free bags of compost.
